Human's Opression Empty
PostSubject: Human's Opression   Human's Opression EmptyMon May 16, 2011 12:38 pm

600 years past, the current royal family was as common as the average sod on the street, But the Queen's defeat of the trannical Zofli changed it... though she could not rmember the crowning ceremony She knew she commanded an entire race.

By now the day has entered it's eleventh hour, and the heat of the world's summer was bearing fully down on the many areas of the world. Desert sands and urban buildings alike. Whether the Kinalt in the open air were rebels or not, the heat would only increase until it's third hour.

The queen had set aside this day to laze about, however. Sunbathing on the roof of her Palace, she stared out towards the sky. The only person nearby was her longest serving guard, known only as Masna, Darkened One. Masna was floating, watching the only entrance a human could take to reach Yocrimilia, with his arms folded, a dark shadowy shape hovering behind him.

"While I do not trust a slave to this task, I must ask you to find the Winged Hunter," Yocrimilia stated, "Do not reveal your identity to him, and get him here. I have a task for him."

Mansa nodded, whipsering, "If that is what you wish," before hovering through the door and out of the palace in search of the Winged Hunter.

It seemed a normal day everywhere else, but there was always the one pocket of resistence that reused to disappear. All Mansa could hope for, was that the rebels see the steady grip on power Yocrimilia had. His black and White cloak hiding even his silver hair. "Part dragon and part chihuahua... I'll show them that we mini dogs are still lethal, if I find them," He whispered to himself then forced his shadowy 'familiar' to hide and dropped to the floor. "Hopefully I find that batty wolf person..."

Ikish Levean, commonly known as the Winged Hunter, tossed one of the many scrolls to the side of the table he was sitting at. It was early in the day, but Ikish had been at the Library all morning. The room was very big, almost shaped like a dome. Wooden book cases were lined all around the room, with ladders on them that could slide back and forth.

At one part however, there was a big pair of double doors, made of wood. On the other side of the room, there was a large desk, with papers, folders, and the usual Librarian tools. Ikish was the only one in the Library at the time. Two candles were lit atop his table, which had helped him read during the night - but for now they were only there because Ikish never extinguished them.

He was searching for knowledge, in the oldest scrolls he could find. Some were torn, musty, outdated, misused, damaged, others were fine. He was just researching, the history of the human race, important figures, events, and much more. He also studied the Kinalt, and their history.

The humans once controlled the Kinalt, much like how the Kinalt now controlled the humans. A strange turn of events, thought Ikish. A creak, then a change in light, and then a voice.

"Sir, are you the one known as the 'Winged Hunter'? If so, I have been ordered to-"

"Yes, I am indeed the Winged Hunter. But you may call me Ikish Lavean." Ikish never stopped to turn away from the texts he was reading. "You are? A client perhaps?"

"No sir I am not, I am Mansa - a servant of the Queen, Queen Yocrimilia."

Ikish now stopped, then turned from his desk to look at the person. "The Queen wants something to do with me then?"

"Yes sir, she wishes to speak with you."

Ikish looked away, thinking for a moment. He got up and walked to the door silently. When he reached Mansa, he said "Please then, take me to her."

Last Night

"What are you doing?" The lemur-cat kinalt exclaimed at the rebels, drawing a crossbow from the table. Ber and a small group of rebels had planned an infiltration mission. It should've been easy, the illusionist masked them from being seen or heard, and the humans were unchained. However, what the rebels did not know was that this kinalt owned children slaves. As soon as the illusionist negated the invisibility spell, the children screamed in terror at Ber's horrific visage.

The slave-owner kinalt fired, and pierced Archie, the illusionist, straight through his heart. As he collapsed, Ber's eyes grew red, and he charged at the lemur kinalt with bloodthirst. The arrows did little to Ber's hide, and the slave-owner was ripped apart. Ber walked back to where Archie lay, but he was already dead. Ber flashed the children a nasty look, but decided against saying anything once he noticed the terror in their eyes.

"Bring them to the Underground Railroad and guide them to freedom, and meet me back at the headquarters," Ber said gruffly to his men, as he turned to walk out the door back to his house.

Present
Ber sat in his study, looking at reports, when Riley, one of the oldest rebel members, walked into the room.

"How are you, my feline friend?" Ber asked with a wry smile.

Riley grinned back. He was a born warrior, with tiger, lion, and cheetah blood. He was huge and powerful, and probably one of the fastest kinalts in the kingdom.

"I'm well," he replied, "And yourself?"

"Been better," Ber sighed in response.

"Still upset about the other night, Ber?" Riley asked.

"It was my fault, really. I should've noticed the children, I should've told Archie to keep up the invisibility. I know I scare children, I shouldn't have let them see me."

"Don't talk like that. Sure, you're one of the ugliest bastards in the Kinalt Kingdom, but none of us could've forseen what had happened. Besides, I'm sure Archie's in a better place, with all the human tail he could ever want," Riley replied, and Ber couldn't help but laugh.

"Anyhow, the reason I've come into your study is because I came to inform you of some fresh meat."

"Send him in!" Ber said, his mirth returning to him. Riley opened the door, and standing in the doorway was a wolven kinalt with an extra set of arms and dragons wings. Ber stood up and walked over to the new recruit, extending his hand in greeting.

"Welcome, lad. My name is Ber, and I'm the rebel leader, what's your name?"

Mansa clicked his fingers, a purple portal appearing in one corner, "She's through there," Was all he said before floating through the portal himself. He'd close it when Ikish had walked through.

"The Winged Hunter for you, Your Majesty." Mansa stated, and the Queen lifted herself up to a sitting poition, staring towards the portal. This should be short and sweet... if not, I'm likely to find someone who's quicker on the ball to do the job instead.

Ikish walked through the portal which Mansa had opened. When he stepped through, he encountered the Queen.

He had never encountered her before, and never thought he would. His services wasn't to those 'royally suited', however he was happy to take anyone's contracts.

But what that what he was here for - a contract? Standing as stout as ever, Ikish cleared his throat, and walked to the Queen's area.

"I am here my Queen, Ikish Lavean. What is it you need?"
